B-SAFE Book/Toy/Art Supply Drive for Kids
Sunday marked the end of the Adult Formation series on forgiveness. This week (June 9) we start another series for the summer based on Rachel Held Evans' book "Inspired: Slaying Giants, Walking on Water, and Loving the Bible Again". Hope you can join us!
B-SAFE Drive for St. Augustine and St. Martin's church kids (ages 6-11). Drop off at St. Paul's by June 9: * Books (Comic books are always a big hit, especially with the younger kids; Otherwise, early reader books for the youngest kids and chapter books for the older kids) * Art supplies (notebooks, pencils, markers, crayons) * Toys (games, educational toys (science, history, reading, etc))

INVITATION FOR MINISTRY OUTSIDE THE PARISH (M.O.P.) GRANT APPLICATIONS Every year St.Paul's Ministry Outside the Parish (M.O.P.) committee awards grants to approximately 20 non-profit organizations doing God's work in very diverse fields from Boston to Guatemala. If there is an organization you would like us to support, then please invite them to apply. Information about the application process and forms can be found on our website. Our deadline for applications is June 19. If you have questions please speak to Matshai Motimele or Tim Hintz or send an email to [email protected]
Our season of Pentecost begins on Sunday, June 9. Following tradition, we'll have a special reading performed simultaneously in different languages...that means as many lectors as possible. You do not have to pronounce the appropriate language perfectly, and you'll get a printout in the language you sign up for. Please do not hesitate to participate. Also, if you know someone who is not a regular lector but would love to read in a foreign language, please let Mike Scheffler know so that he can connect with them. There will be a short rehearsal prior to the Pentecost service at 9:30 am. This coming Sunday is Youth Sunday: Please join us in celebration of all of our youth and graduating seniors! We will celebrate our program year together during service and after church with cake and a slideshow! We hope to see you there!
This Week at St. Paul's: June 2, 2019
SCRIPTURE GROUP: MAY 28 Scripture Group will meet tonight from 7:30-9:00 pm in the Lichtenberger Room. We'll be discussing chapter 7 (The Laborers in the Vineyard) in Amy-Jill Levine's Short Stories by Jesus. The book is easy to dip into mid-way and you are always welcome to join us. We will also be talking about plans for next year.
SUNDAY LUNCH BUNCH POTLUCK The Sunday Lunch Bunch (SLB) is a group of genial folks who enjoy gathering every FOURTH Sunday of the month to share conversation and a casual meal. This coming Sunday, the Sunday Lunch Bunch will gather for a delicious POTLUCK at the gracious home of John and Darryl Ferguson, located a short, five-minute walk from St. Paul's. We will meet at coffee hour in the Great Hall following the 10 O'clock service and plan to walk over, together. (Transportation will be available, if needed.) You are invited to bring an easy, tasty, dish. Even if you've never tried the Sunday Lunch Bunch, you are welcome. It's a wonderful way to become better acquainted with some of your fellow parishioners.
